Oncology Research Day: Strategy, Infrastructures and Collaboration Networks

IDIBAPS is organizing a Oncology Research Day in coordination with the Oncology Master Plan (PDO) and with the collaboration of the Tumor Banks Network of Catalonia (XBTC), with the aim of highlighting the strategic role of collaboration networks, infrastructures and support platforms in promoting cutting-edge cancer research in Catalonia.

The session will open with an institutional inauguration by Antoni Plasència, Director General of Research and Innovation of the Department of Health. Afterwards, Josep Maria Borràs, Director of the Oncology Master Plan of the Department of Health, will present the global vision and challenges of oncology research in Catalonia.

Next, Susana Puig, Director of IDIBAPS, will present the institutional priorities, and Michela Bertero, Director of Strategy of IDIBAPS, will address the strategic plan, synergies and future opportunities. The session will continue with interventions focused on essential infrastructures and platforms for research, including the Hospital Clínic–IDIBAPS Biobank, current coordinator of the Tumor Banks Network of Catalonia (XBTC), as well as key initiatives aimed at promoting scientific excellence, competitive funding opportunities and the connection between infrastructures and projects.
