Open day at IDIBAPS 2025

IDIBAPS, the research institute affiliated with Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, is organizing an open day in its laboratories on November 19 and 20 as part of Science Week.

The event will take place at the IDIBAPS headquarters (C/ Rosselló, 149-153 | 08036 – Barcelona) on Wednesday, November 19, and Thursday, November 20, with two time slots available: 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

The visits, lasting approximately one and a half hours, will offer an insight into the research conducted in four main areas: diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), Alzheimer’s disease, and liver cancer. Participants will also tour the biobank, where biological samples used in research are stored.

Spaces are limited, and prior registration is required to participate through the following links. The registration deadline is Monday, November 17.

About IDIBAPS

IDIBAPS is a biomedical research center of excellence that addresses the most common diseases in our society. Its mission is translational research, meaning it seeks to ensure that questions arising at the patient’s bedside are answered in the laboratory, and that advances made in the lab are rapidly translated to patient care.

Around 2,000 professionals work at the institute. About one hundred multidisciplinary groups conduct highly relevant research, as reflected by the nearly 1,200 original articles published each year. IDIBAPS is one of the leading biomedical research centers in Spain and has a strong international focus.
