Parkinson’s Is More Than Just Tremor: Towards Early Detection

Parkinson’s disease is often associated with tremor, but not everyone with Parkinson’s experiences this symptom, and those who do may also have many others. In addition, the disease begins silently years, or even decades, before the first visible symptoms appear, whether tremor is present or not. For this reason, much of current research focuses on early detection and on developing treatments that can be applied before neuronal damage becomes too extensive.
