A study by the Clínic-IDIBAPS paves the way for the personalized treatment of schizophrenia by identifying genetic factors linked to autistic and negative symptoms

A study led by Gisela Mezquida, Àlex G. Segura, Anaid Pérez Ramos, Clemente García Rizo and Miquel Bioque, from the Clínic-IDIBAPS Schizophrenia research group and members of CIBERSAM, has identified associations between the genetic profile related to autism and certain autistic traits and negative symptoms in individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis.
