As every year, IDIBAPS organizes a scientific photography contest. Employees of the institution and those from other organizations around the Clínic campus can take part. The images were published in a Google Photos album where anyone could choose their favourite pictures by giving them a “like”. In this eighth edition, 26 photos were submitted, which you can see here.
The 15 photographs that received the most “likes” move on to the final round, where a jury will select the 3 winners. You can see the finalist photos by clicking here.
The jury is composed of:
- Haizea Olabe Molina, director of the science outreach project at Vil·la Urània
- Gerardo Garcia, senior researcher at Evotec
- Anna May, head of communication at ICMAB
- Marc Montalà Iranzo, art director
- Cristina Sáez, science editor at the newspaper ARA
The winners are expected to be announced during the Sant Jordi event, which will take place on Thursday, April 23, in the Aula Magna of the UB Faculty of Medicine.
Prizes:
- 1st prize: €250 shopping voucher for the L'Illa Diagonal shopping centre
- 2nd prize: €150 shopping voucher for the L'Illa Diagonal shopping centre
- 3rd prize: €75 shopping voucher for the L'Illa Diagonal shopping centre
