IDIBAPS organises the scientific photography contest each year. IDIBAPS employees and people working at other bodies around the Clinic Campus can participate. In this edition, 42 images were submitted, which you can view here. Once the submission period is over, the popular voting phase begins, during which anyone can 'like' their favourite photos.The 15 best-liked photos go to the final stage, where an external jury selects the three winners.
The award ceremony took place in the Aula Magna of the UB’s Faculty of Medicine, as part of the Sant Jordi institutional event of the Clínic Campus. The prizes were delivered by IDIBAPS acting director Michela Bertero. This year, the winners were:
- 1st prize: “Brain Blossoms", by Marta Peña i González and Carlos Laredo Gregorio
- 2nd prize: "Rorschach Tree", by Alejandro Hinojosa Moscoso and Carlos Laredo Gregorio
- 3rd prize: "Microcosmos: un viatge espacial a l'interior del tumor", by Gemma Garcia-Vicién and Carmen Cárcamo Ixchelt
