The earthquakes that have recently affected Venezuela have left thousands of people in a highly vulnerable situation. In response to this humanitarian emergency, Campus Clínic Solidari has launched a fundraising campaign to support the on-the-ground response.
Funds raised will be used to purchase medical supplies and equipment, according to the needs identified by professionals and experts working directly in Venezuela. Campus Clínic Solidari maintains direct contact with the local reality to understand the most urgent needs, manage the procurement of supplies, and ensure follow-up until delivery.

Campus Clínic Solidari also maintains a collaboration agreement with the International Traveller’s Health Service (SAVI) of the Clínic, enabling a rapid response to international humanitarian emergencies. In the current context, 15 members of the Catalan Fire Service who will travel to Venezuela have received the necessary vaccinations and health recommendations at SAVI this week prior to their deployment.
In addition, this week Meritxell Cascan, nurse at Hospital Clínic and active member of Campus Clínic Solidari, participated in the programme Cafè d’Idees on RTVE Catalunya in the discussion “How should Venezuela respond to the earthquake?”. The interview can be watched here.
Every contribution helps strengthen the response where it is needed most.
