The IDIBAPS Management Committee has approved the replacement of the head of the ‘Neuropsychology’ research group. David Bartrés-Fazés will be the new head of the group, replacing Carme Junqué, who will soon retire. The name of the group will also be changed to ‘Neuropsychology and neuroimaging’.
Bartrés-Faz is a full professor of Medical Psychology at the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Trained in neuropsychology, neuroimaging and non-invasive brain stimulation, he has received a Ramon y Cajal grant and two consecutive ICREA Academia awards. He has carried out postdoctoral stays at INSERM and at Harvard Medical School and is an honorary professor at University College London (UCL). He has published more than 200 scientific articles and has supervised 14 doctoral theses.
