Dr. Puig is internationally recognized for her career in clinical and translational research in the fields of dermatology and skin oncology. Her leadership has been key to driving innovative projects that have contributed to improving the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases such as melanoma and other skin tumors.
Furthermore, her work has been fundamental in promoting collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and enhancing the transfer of knowledge between research and clinical care, one of the strategic objectives of Clínic and IDIBAPS.
Renewal of the IDIBAPS Board of Trustees
With Dr. Susana Puig’s appointment as director of IDIBAPS, Dr. Francesc Balaguer, head of the Gastroenterology Department at Hospital Clínic and researcher at the center, will take the position on the IDIBAPS Board of Trustees vacated by Dr. Puig. Dr. Balaguer is a recognized expert in the prevention and diagnosis of colorectal cancer, with an outstanding track record in both research and patient care in this field.
