Jointly organised by IDIBAPS’ Office of European Projects and the Crowdhelix platform, the event was designed to facilitate strategic networking between universities, research centres, clinics, small and medium-sized companies and industry stakeholders. For two days, the participants exchanged contacts, explored opportunities to work together and took part in dynamic sessions aimed at forming competitive consortia for the European calls for projects scheduled for 2026.
The Health Matchmaking Event was part of the GPE2024-001427-P research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MCIU) and the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) (MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033), which aims to enhance IDIBAPS’ role and leadership in international health innovation projects.
The main objectives of the event were to:
- Promote the formation of international consortia that can submit high-impact project proposals.
- Boost partnership and the exchange of knowledge between key players in the sector, accelerating ideas and projects towards European funding.
- Foster innovation in biomedical research, thereby helping to face global challenges in health and cancer.
