IDIBAPS has created this platform to meet its researchers’ needs regarding the computing required for research studies. The aim is to provide a system that manages data transfer and storage, analyses the studies and lends support in terms of methodology, analysis and training in the field of bioinformatics.
The platform will be run by María Aragón, an engineer and data scientist who is an expert on medical information and on managing and exploiting large healthcare databases for research purposes. With more than 10 years of experience in research data, data governance and data quality, she will lead a multidisciplinary team to cover the computing, storage and bioinformatics needs of IDIBAPS’ researchers and scientific platforms.
