The IDIBAPS Steering Committee has approved the leadership transition of the research group 'Child and adolescent psychiatry and psychology'. Inmaculada Baeza is the new head of the group, replacing Josefina Castro-Fornieles, who has decided to step down from the leadership but will remain part of the team as an R3A researcher.
Inmaculada Baeza holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Barcelona (UB), and she is a psychiatrist and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She is a senior consultant in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Department at Clínic Barcelona and the coordinator of the Early Psychosis Specific Care Programme at the centre. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UB and a group leader at CIBERSAM. She has published more than 200 articles in scientific journals on early-onset psychotic disorders, risk and protective factors, and their treatment, among other topics.
