June 1 marks the start of Campus Clínic Innova 2026, a project by Hospital Clínic Barcelona, IDIBAPS, ISGlobal, and Món Clínic to promote innovation within the Campus Clínic environment. The call for applications for this year’s edition, the fifth, will close on July 24.
Innovation in the healthcare sector is a key driver for the continuous improvement of healthcare services for citizens and for contributing to the creation of national wealth.
Campus Clínic Innova stems from the commitment of Campus Clínic to place Innovation on the strategic agenda and make it part of the culture of professionals within the institutions. The goal is to promote and consolidate innovative projects, both in healthcare and non-healthcare processes, as well as technology-based products, with a clear focus on their applicability in biomedicine and within the National Health System.
This fifth edition once again consists of two programs focused on two types of innovative projects: the “Millorem el Clínic” program and the “Idees a Mercat” program.
Information about the call guidelines and the procedure for submitting proposals can be found on the Campus Clínic Innova 2026 website. Projects may be submitted in Catalan, Spanish, or English, and only individuals affiliated with Clínic, IDIBAPS, or ISGlobal may submit projects.
Millorem el Clínic Program
The Millorem Clínic category is focused on projects aimed at improving and transforming the organization and processes within Hospital Clínic Barcelona, at any of its sites.
The objective of this program is to recognize initiatives that provide value and have a clear impact on patients, professionals, and/or resources, in line with the priorities set out in the Strategic Plan, in order to create a hospital that is more Approachable, Sustainable, and Intelligent, based on solutions with a Pioneer approach.
Here you will find the call guidelines for the Millorem el Clínic program, and there will be time to submit projects until July 24.
Idees cap a Mercat Program
Ideas to Market is aimed at technology-based innovative projects with commercial potential, encompassing both early-stage and more mature projects.
It will consist of two tracks, clearly differentiating projects according to their level of maturity:
-
“Incubem” will focus on projects with Innovation Maturity Levels (IMLs) 1 (defined need) to 3 (proofs of concept).
-
“Accelerem” will support projects with IMLs 4 (feasibility testing) to 6 (early clinical trials).
Individuals interested in applying to the Ideas to Market program must notify their interest by completing this EOI before June 29, 2026.
