This Monday, the Clínic held a new conference as part of the Summer School, dedicated to patronage and fundraising in health and research, at the Esteve Auditorium (CEK), focusing on the creation of solid and transformative links between entities and major donors. Under the slogan, “Strategic patronage: where purpose and impact meet”, the event became a space for exchange to understand what motivates donors to commit and how institutions can generate trust and lasting collaborations.
The conference, which coincided with the opening of the Summer School, started with a welcome speech by Dr Josep Maria Campistol, director general of the Hospital Clínic, accompanied by Dr Montse Viladomiu, vice-president of the Vila Casas Foundation; Dr Joan Escarrabill, coordinator of the Summer School’s Academic Counci; and Núria Vilamajó, head of patronage at the hospital.
During the conference, the focus was on the motivations that drive strategic philanthropy. In an inspiring presentation, David Canarutto, private sector relationship manager at The Global Fund, shared his vision of the key role of major donors as agents of global change.
The session continued with a practical workshop led by Silvia Bueso, an expert in fundraising, sales and persuasive communication, who offered tools for identifying, connecting with and retaining strategic allies.
Later, through real-life cases, a round table discussion provided insights into the success stories of the Gasol Foundation, the Banc Sabadell Foundation and the Bosch Aymerich Foundation.
One of the key moments was the dialogue with corporate donors such as Mango, Condis Supermercats and Munich, which shared their expectations and experiences first-hand, providing a clear vision of what they value in impact projects.
With this conference, the Clínic reaffirms its leadership in the development of a transformative sponsorship model capable of generating a real impact on people’s health and the advancement of scientific knowledge.
