In mid-November, the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health presented its annual awards during the Institutional Event of the 28th National Congress of Psychiatry. Three of the awards went to IDIBAPS professionals:
- Research Excellence Awards. Best Emerging Investigator Paper: Vicent Llorca-Bofí, from the Schizophrenia research group, for the article “White blood cell counts, ratios, and C-reactive protein among individuals with schizophrenia spectrum disorder and associations with long-term outcomes: a population-based study.”
- Research Excellence Awards. Best Established Investigator Paper: Joaquim Radua Castaño, head of the Imaging of mood- and anxiety-related disorders (IMARD) research group, for the article “Impact of air pollution and climate change on mental health outcomes: an umbrella review of global evidence.”
- Award for Best Doctoral Thesis: Giovanna Fico, from the Bipolar and depressive disorders research group, for the thesis “Clinical markers shaping the trajectory of bipolar disorder.”
