About me

I studied Biotechnology (UAB), Bioinformatics (KCL), and Cell & Dev. Biology (SFSU). I did my PhD at EMBL on nervous system evolution building gene expression and connectomics atlases, and then I joined SWC in London for a postdoc on striatal circuits and dopamine-dependent learning. Since 2024, I've been a Ramón y Cajal Fellow at the Brain Circuits and Behavior Lab. I am interested in the circuit mechanisms and neuronal computations that underlie learned behaviors, for which I make use of behavioral paradigms and neuronal manipulations in mice, and analyse their effects using mathematical models.
