About me
Josep Mallolas is Head of the HIV/AIDS Unit at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and Senior Consultant in the Infectious Diseases Department. An Associate Professor of Medicine, he has directed the UB Master’s Degree in AIDS since 1991 and the UB–Gilead Chair in HIV-Hepatitis Research since 2019. He graduated with Honors, holds a PhD cum laude, and is a specialist in Internal Medicine. He has promoted the HIV Day Hospital, published hundreds of scientific papers, and led research projects, clinical trials, and competitive grants.
