About me
During my studies in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Valencia (2019-2024), I began my journey in biomedical research. My first steps were at the GINEA group at La Fe Research Institute, identifying plasma biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease, and later investigated the interaction of microplastics with gastrointestinal cells at the GUTBIOTOX group at IATA through the JAE Intro ICU 2024 fellowship. During my Master's in Biomedical Research, I explored the use of CRISPR to restore frataxin expression in Friedreich's ataxia, deepening my interest in epigenetics. I currently hold a PFIS fellowship through which I will pursue a PhD in Biomedicine at the Steatohepatitis and Liver Transplantation group at IDIBAPS, led by Dr. Ramon Bataller.
