Yaroslau Compta
Neurology Service NeurologistAbout me
I got my MD and PhD at University of Barcelona (2001; 2013) and my Neurology training at Hospital Clínic (2006). I have enjoyed three research stays (2006; 2008; 2025) at UCL Queen's Square Institute of Neurology (London, UK). I have published 215 papers (2006-2025), with contributions such as being the introducer in Spain of CSF a-syn seed amplification assay. I am conducting research too on tau imaging in progressive supranuclear palsy and cell models in multiple system atrophy. I am associate editor of Park Rel Dis since 2018, coordinator of CSUR & ERN-RND for rare movement disorders & co-chair of the MDS PSP Study Group since 2023, and director of MissionMSA Center of Excellence & CurePSP Care Center since 2025.
