Mental Health and Prediction: What Can New Digital Tools Tell Us?

This talk aims to bring the concept of risk in mental health closer to the public and highlight the importance of early detection. It will explain how digital tools based on predictive models can help healthcare professionals identify individuals who are more likely to develop disorders such as psychosis or bipolar disorder, as well as related physical health problems. The session will also provide an accessible overview of what these tools are and discuss their benefits and limitations. Finally, it will encourage reflection on their use and on the importance of more preventive, early, and person-centred care.
