Research lines

  • Neuropsychology and neuroimaging in Parkinson’s disease

This line of research makes us of combined structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging to detect early alterations in brain connectivity and its evolution during the degenerative process.

  • Cerebral plasticity

We study changes in brain structure and function induced by transcranial electric and magnetic stimulation through magnetic resonance imaging. We also study the cerebral mechanisms of cognitive and cerebral reserve as modulators of successful and pathological aging.

  • Ageing and brain health

Using a combination of behavioral, cognitive and neuroimaging measures and techniques we investigate the factors and biological mechanisms that explain stability of cognitive and mental health in advancing age.
