Flexible remuneration is a type of compensation that allows employees to allocate part of their gross salary to the consumption of everyday products or services such as transport, health insurance, restaurant tickets, training or childcare.
Since the gross salary is used to cover the cost of the services, they are exempt from personal income tax, which means a higher net annual salary.
In the case of IDIBAPS, flexible remuneration has been in place since January 2024.
It can be used for the following services:
- Ticket Restaurant: Exempt from personal income tax up to €11/day.
- Edenred Mobility: With a maximum annual tax benefit of €1,500.
- Edenred Childcare: No limit on the amount exempt from personal income tax.
- Health Insurance: With personal income tax exemption of €500/year and per insured person.
- Training: Personal income tax savings for training expenses.
