Do you dare to explain science with humor… in Catalan? Take part in the Science on Stage monologue contest!

'Science on Stage: Research Takes the Stage' is a catalan-language science monologue contest aimed at promoting the use of catalan within the scientific community, especially among non-catalan speakers. If you want to present your research project or field of expertise in a fun, engaging, and humorous way—in just 5 minutes—we look forward to seeing you there!

To help prepare their monologues, participants will receive training in stage communication and linguistic support in Catalan. You can participate individually or in pairs, and the best monologues will win cultural experiences in Barcelona worth €300. The contest will take place on Friday, May 8 at 6:30 PM at Bar MAU MAU Underground (Carrer d'En Fontrodona 35, Barcelona).

"Science on Stage: Research Takes the Stage" is an initiative co-organized by IDIBAPS, the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD), the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), and the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), and is funded by the Department of Research and Universities (CERCA Research Centers Grants of Catalonia to promote the use of the Catalan language in research).
