According to the assessment published by Forbes, the Clínic maintains its position at number 59 in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals ranking, consolidating its position as the best in Catalonia. Among its achievements, in 2024 it became the first Spanish hospital to perform 200 robot-assisted kidney transplants. It successfully implemented a robot-assisted cardiac surgery programme for aortic valve replacement, becoming the only centre in Europe with this capacity. In the field of myeloma, it has led the public production of CAR T-cell therapies for multiple myeloma.
This recognition by Forbes reaffirms the hospital’s commitment to patient-centred healthcare, with the highest standards of quality, safety and humanization.
This ranking also highlights the Clínic’s firm commitment to biomedical research and knowledge transfer. With scientific output that makes it a leader at the national level, mainly through the IDIBAPS Foundation, the hospital works every day to generate new knowledge that has a positive impact on people’s health.
Teaching is another of the Clínic’s fundamental pillars. As a university centre linked to the University of Barcelona, every year the Clínic provides practical, rigorous and innovative training to hundreds of healthcare professionals.
