About me

Jaime de la Rocha is a Junior Group Leader at the Institute for Biomedical Research August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona (Spain). He received his PhD in 2003 in Theoretical Physics in the University Autonoma of Madrid in the laboratory of Prof. Néstor Parga. After graduating, he obtained a postdoctoral fellowship from the Spanish government to work in the laboratory of Alex Reyes in the Center for Neural Science at New York University. There he performed in vitro experiments and computational modeling to investigate the transfer of synchrony in simple neural networks. In 2008 he moved to the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers, where he worked in the Harris Lab performing some in vivo population recordings and network modeling on the question of neuronal corre
