A study by the Clínic-IDIBAPS provides new insights into the genetics of IRF4-rearranged lymphomas in adults and young people

A study led by the IDIBAPS Molecular genetics of paediatric lymphomas research group  has identified genetic, biological and clinical differences between  large B-cell lymphomas with IRF4 gene rearrangement in children, adolescents and young adults and those detected in adults over the age of 40. The results, published in the journal Blood Advances, suggest that not all cases with rearrangement of this gene in adults should be considered the same disease.
