Rise in the smart hospitals ranking
In the World's Best Smart Hospitals 2026 ranking, Clínic holds the 43rd position, climbing nine places compared to the same 2025 ranking, where it was positioned 52nd.
This list evaluates 350 hospitals worldwide for their implementation of advanced medical technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, telemedicine, and electronic health systems. The methodology is based on an international survey of healthcare professionals, Statista’s Smart Hospitals Maturity Survey, and hospital accreditation by the Joint Commission International.

In the World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2026 ranking, Hospital Clínic Barcelona appears in eleven specialties, achieving its best position in Gynecology and Obstetrics at tenth place worldwide.

This ranking is divided into 12 categories and includes the world's top 300 hospitals in cardiology and oncology; 250 in pediatrics; 150 in cardiovascular surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and traumatology; and 125 in neurosurgery and urology. Furthermore, this year, the number of hospitals evaluated in neurology (up to 150) and gynecology and obstetrics (up to 125) has increased.
