The IDIBAPS research Ombuds Committee is an institutional committee whose main purpose is to mediate potential conflicts and/or unresolved discrepancies among the institution’s researchers. It is an independent committee of the institutional government bodies, impartial, composed of duly qualified professionals of great personal integrity, who are obliged to maintain discretion, anonymity and confidentiality in the treatment of any query, mediation process or other tasks.
The Ombuds Committee comprises four members of the research community and management staff of IDIBAPS, who are appointed by the Institute’s Directors every 4 years. This year, we warmly welcome its new members, Guillem Masdeu, legal director of IDIBAPS, and Fàtima Crispi, researcher of the Natal and Perinatal Medicine research group. The committee is also formed by Anna Novials, group leader of the Pathogenesis and Prevention of Diabetes research group, as a chair; and Ramón Trullàs, group leader of the Neurobiology research group.
We also want to express our gratitude for the work and dedication of leaving members Francesca Pons, group leader of the Diagnosis and therapy in oncology research group and Marc Roda, head of the legal area of Hospital Clínic, during their four years in the committee.
