The AIDS research team launches a new website

Some IDIBAPS´ research teams have specific online needs. A recent example is the AIDS research team, led by Dr. Josep Maria Gatell, which introduces its own website to provide detailed information on their research agenda. The project has been coordinated from the within the team thanks to the initiative of Dr. Gilles Mirambeau and the web design skills of Dr. Sébastien Lyonnais, a Marie Curie fellow from the same group.

The website details the work in the 13 major lines of research, ranging from clinical research (efficacy and tolerability of antiretrovirals, resistance and infections/opportunistic coinfections...) to other basic studies such as immunopathology or retrovirology, including the search for an effective vaccine against HIV. Each line of research includes a list of the staff working on it. The website is a dinamic space that will be growing and updating through time.

The Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) supports these initiatives through the Department of Communication. The authors of the AIDS research team website, with Dr. Gilles Mirambeau and Dr. Sébastien Lyonnais leading the initiative, argue that big teams need their own space and offer their expertise and knowledge to other researchers from IDIBAPS.
