Teaching - Unit of Neuromuscular, Mitochondrial and Autonomic Nervous System Disorders

Unit professionals take part in undergraduate teaching at the University of Barcelona in Medicine and Nursing, as well as postgraduate training, including the University Master’s Degree in Advanced Medical Skills: Autoimmune Diseases. 

The Unit provides clinical training for medical residents in Neurology and Internal Medicine. Residents rotate through the different clinical sections according to defined learning objectives and participate in regular clinical and pathology meetings. The Unit also welcomes visiting residents and specialists from Spain and abroad. 

As part of its continuing professional development activities, the Unit organises courses and meetings for healthcare professionals and collaborates with patient associations such as ASEM Catalunya and the National Association for Inflammatory Myopathy to provide information and educational activities for patients and families.
