The Eating Disorders Unit of the Hospital Clínic has two main objectives:  

  • To offer treatment to children and adolescents with serious eating disorders in a full hospitalisation regimen or different partial hospitalisation modalities, according to programmes agreed with the Catalan Health Service and clinical guidelines prepared by the Psychiatry and Child and Youth Psychology Service.  

  • To offer training and maintain adequate coordination with the CSMIJ, community day hospitals and acute hospitalisation units in our area (Barcelona city and currently Badalona, ​​Santa Coloma, Sant Adrià and Tiana) to achieve an adequate flow of more serious referrals as well as a return to the community after stabilisation.
