The Social Report is a document that outlines the social, environmental, institutional, and human impact of a foundation's activities. It goes beyond scientific or economic performance, aiming to reflect how the organization contributes to collective well-being, sustainability, equal opportunities, continuous training, and ethical governance. It is a tool for transparency, legally required, and for continuous improvement, aligned with the values of responsible research.
The 2024 IDIBAPS Social Report highlights, among other aspects, the promotion of work-life balance and flexible work policies implemented throughout the year, as well as the established training plan, which included over 30 training activities. It also details how occupational risk prevention and staff well-being have been strengthened, with specific protocols for situations such as pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The report also reflects the commitment to open science and knowledge transfer as tools for social transformation. Numerous science outreach activities have been carried out, and progress has been made in sustainability through measures such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible purchasing. The report also emphasizes the institution’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in health and well-being, quality education, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
