Research - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Service
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Service leads several areas of research with the aim of promoting the development of new projects that allow for the expansion of collaborations and information concerning the most prevalent psychiatric pathologies in childhood and adolescence.
The Service is part of various Research Groups:

In addition, it participates in various international research projects, together with European centres:
- It is part of the ENIGMA Consortium (Enhancing Neuroimaging Genetics Through Meta-Analysis), an international collaboration that includes a large number of research groups from 16 countries around the world, working on different psychiatric disorders: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa, Early-onset Psychosis, High Risk for Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Relatives with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, Laterality and Life Expectancy.
- FAMILY Project - Intergenerational transmission of risk for mental illness. The service is part of the European consortium focused on children of patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, where we share our cohort and lead the work package on data management (https://family-project.eu/).
- We are part of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Prevention of Mental Disorders and Mental Health Promotion Network and the Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology Network.
In recent years, research in existing lines has increased, and there has been a rise in funded projects, scientific output and an increase in impact factor. In addition, various members of the service have read doctoral theses.
