Teaching and Training - Maternal and Fetal Medicine Service
The Maternal and Fetal Medicine Department leads various teaching and training programs to train health professionals to deal with and provide effective and comprehensive solutions to maternal and fetal health problems and, at the same time, promote the development of new products and processes for different sectors of the society.
Postgraduate
The Service leads a stable programme of postgraduate courses, university expert courses, advanced training courses and an International Master's Degree in Maternal-Foetal Medicine.
Speciality training
Together with the Gynaecology Department, we offer MIR specialty training. For more than 10 years, we have had the residents with the best ranking numbers in Catalonia. Nationwide, we are among the top three centres with the best ranking numbers, and in 2024 we were number one.
Integrated with our primary care area, we also offer EIR (midwifery) specialist training. The high-ranking numbers that come to our centre reflect a training pathway that combines comprehensive care during pregnancy and innovation in nursing.
