Teaching and Training - Nuclear Medicine Service
The Nuclear Medicine Department participates in various training and teaching practices coordinated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.
Degrees
The Department’s professionals participate as lecturers in the Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine and the Bachelor’s Degree in Physics in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Barcelona. They also supervise the final degree projects in the corresponding degrees where they teach.
Postgraduate and master's degrees
The Department’s professionals participate as lecturers in the Master’s Degrees in Senology and Breast Pathology, Neurosciences, Translational Medicine, Advanced Medical Skills, Biomedicine, and Nuclear Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona. They also supervise master’s degree final projects in the degrees where they teach as well as doctoral theses in the Medicine and Biomedicine programmes in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Barcelona.
Nurse training
The Department also participates in the ‘Training Course for Radioactive Installations Operators' and in the practicals carried out by the students studying to be Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Technicians.
Specialised training
Each year a nuclear medicine resident and a radiopharmacy resident are incorporated into the Department. The specialized health training period is: Nuclear Medicine (four years) and Radiopharmacy (three years).
