Teaching - Unit of Perinatal Mental Health

The Perinatal Mental Health Unit develops a teaching and training plan in Perinatal Mental Disorders (PMDs), building a transferable body of knowledge that may evolve into its own specialty, as proposed by international experts.

  • Training for MIR, PIR, and EIR residents in perinatal mental health (rotations within their residency programs).
  • Training for medical students and psychology students in clinical placements.
  • Training for students of the Master’s in General Health Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Barcelona (6 students per year).
  • Advanced Course in Perinatal Mental Health (ref. CP-18-003), including a 3-month training placement in the Unit for psychiatry and psychology professionals wishing to expand their theoretical and practical knowledge in the management of PMDs.
  • Fellowship in Perinatal Mental Health (ref. CP-18-004), including a 6-month training placement in the Unit for psychiatry or psychology professionals seeking to broaden their theoretical and practical knowledge in the management of PMDs and to participate in a research line.
  • Expert Diploma in Perinatal Mental Health (IL-3, University of Barcelona).
