Diagnosing traveller’s diarrhoea
            Reading time: 1 min

In patients who return from a trip with diarrhoea and/or digestive troubles, a faecal analysis is carried out, which will serve to identify certain parasites, bacteria, or toxins of certain agents that cause traveller’s diarrhoea.
It is important to remember that the causative microorganism cannot be identified in more than 50% of cases.
