In severe cases, it may be necessary to use immunosuppressive or biological medications.
Prácticamente todos los casos de dermatitis de contacto correctamente diagnosticados y tratados se resuelven en cuestión de semanas cuando se evita el contacto con el agente causante. Cuando esto no se cumple se deben buscar otros factores agravantes o enfermedades con presentación clínica parecida.
