After identifying the substance responsible, avoiding contact with it as much as possible is crucial, while also taking protective and preventive measures at work and at home to maintain healthy skin and prevent further reactions.

Avoiding the agent causing the reaction. This is the main treatment for contact dermatitis.

Topical corticosteroids or topical calcineurin inhibitors. In cases where it is difficult to avoid the agent causing the contact dermatitis, topical treatments with corticosteroids or topical calcineurin inhibitors (another type of topical anti-inflammatory) are used during flare-ups or in chronic cases.

Pill with prescription meds

In severe cases, it may be necessary to use immunosuppressive or biological medications.
