Hearing Loss treatment at the Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

Hearing loss is one of the most common reasons for consultation in Otorhinolaryngology. Each year, more than 1,000 new patients are seen, and nearly 5,000 are followed up.

Hospital Clínic is a referral center for the treatment of chronic cholesteatomatous otitis. Up to a third of patients treated for this condition have previously undergone surgery at other centers. Hospital Clínic also has treatment protocols for hearing loss that do not require surgery. Members of other departments, such as the Autoimmune Diseases and Infectious Diseases departments, participate in these protocols.
