Teaching and Training on Familial Heart Disease at Clínic

The training and teaching activity is carried out in the following areas:

• Training of medical students, cardiology residents, cardiologists undergoing specific training in arrhythmias, heart failure and/or sports cardiology. 
• Specific training on cardiovascular genetics. It includes training in molecular genetic diagnosis, genetic counseling and in the diagnosis and management of different family heart diseases and syndromes associated with sudden death.
• Directing final degree projects in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Barcelona. 
• Directing doctoral theses. 
• Device management workshops for residents.
• Theoretical-practical sessions for other departments (Anesthesia, Psychiatry, Gynaecology, etc.).

Activities are also carried out with patients and relatives with the organization of the Annual Seminar for Families with Arrhythmic Syndromes Related to Sudden Death, held at the Hospital Sant Joan de Deu in collaboration with Hospital Clínic and IDIBGi.
