Juan Castro is a computer engineer with a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and more than five years of experience in developing AI, NLP, and advanced analytics solutions for the social and healthcare sector. He currently leads technical teams at NTT Data, focusing on generative AI and advanced analytics solutions to improve healthcare through innovative technology.

Giovanni Angelotti is pursuing his PhD studies at the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence USI-SUPSI in Switzerland, specializing in neural causal inference. His research focuses on developing AI models for high-stakes decision-making based on real-world data. With extensive experience in healthcare records and multimodal clinical data, Giovanni is a member of MIT Critical Data, a global ecosystem of healthcare and data science professionals advocating for equity in AI research. He is also part of the Imprecise Probability Group at IDSIA and participates in bioinformatics and personalized medicine groups at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.

Dr. Xavi Borrat has been a physician since 2002 and an anesthesiologist since 2006. In 2023, he became the head of the Clinical Informatics Service at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, where he combines his clinical duties as an anesthesiologist with the development of predictive models in anesthesiology, AI, and big data in healthcare. He is also an associate professor of Bioengineering at the University of Barcelona and an affiliated researcher at MIT, where he participates in projects on AI equity, interoperability, and open medical data platforms.

Alberto Robles is the AI and Data Analytics leader at Logicalis Spain. With over 20 years in the technology industry, he specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Analytics, CRM, and Information Security. His extensive experience has driven the growth and expansion of B2B software businesses in local markets.

Manuel Ángel García Sánchez is the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) at Avvale, reflecting his leadership in the development and implementation of AI solutions within the company. With over 20 years of experience in tech consulting, Manuel Ángel has been a pioneer in companies' digital transformation through advanced analytics and disruptive technologies like machine and deep learning. Under his leadership, Avvale launched a strategic AI division, driving innovation to optimize internal processes and deliver high-impact solutions for clients. Manuel combines his expertise in SAP and business intelligence with a clear vision of AI's potential to transform industries such as manufacturing, utilities, and real estate.

Cristian Canton is a research science manager in the AI Integrity Team at Facebook AI Applied Research. With a strong background in computer vision and adversarial machine learning, Cristian leads innovative projects addressing vulnerabilities and risks associated with artificial intelligence, especially on misinformation and election interference issues. Cristian holds an M.S. from EPFL in Switzerland and a PhD from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, and he has worked at prestigious institutions such as Microsoft Research and Vicon.

Dr. Montse Esquerda is a pediatrician and psychologist with a master’s degree in Pediatric Bioethics. She currently teaches bioethics at the Borja Institute of Bioethics and Blanquerna, Ramon Llull University. She also chairs the Deontology Commission of the Council of Medical Colleges.

Araceli Camacho is the Digital Transformation Coordinator at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, where she leads various initiatives to integrate artificial intelligence into healthcare. Her career has been marked by leadership in multinational corporations, and she brings a global perspective and unique international experience, having worked with startups in the innovation ecosystem at MIT in the United States.

Paula Petrone is a data scientist and associate professor at ISGlobal in Barcelona, a research institute focused on global health. A physics graduate from the Balseiro Institute in Patagonia, Argentina, and biophysics from Stanford University, she has worked in drug discovery for major pharmaceutical companies such as Roche and Novartis. She currently leads a team of biomedical data scientists at ISGlobal that, through data analysis and AI, develops tools for disease risk diagnosis and assessment. Passionate about AI ethics, she also researches algorithmic biases and technological inequalities.

Aitor González-Agirre is the leader of the Language Models team in the Language Technologies Unit at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where he develops large-scale language models and their applications in natural language processing. He has won multiple awards, most recently for his work "MarIA: Spanish Language Models" in 2022, and he has recently been involved in training the Salamandra family of language models.

Ana Bosch holds a Law degree and has served as a State Attorney, with extensive experience in the public sector and the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2020, she has been leading the Legal Department and is the secretary of the Governance Bodies of Farmaindustria. She actively participates in various committees and councils in health and science in Spain, excelling in areas of health law and ethics. She is also a professor in the Master’s Program in Legal Practice, teaching “Litigation before the European Court of Human Rights” at the Pontifical University of Comillas, and serves as a trainer in various Spanish educational institutions.

David de Falguera heads the AI and Digital Law area at EY in Spain and is a certified data protection officer. His expertise includes AI regulation, data protection, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. He regularly acts as a legal advisor in digital transformation projects involving disruptive technologies.

Josep Maria Bosch is an attorney with extensive experience in providing legal advice to healthcare and social entities. An expert in healthcare law and data protection, he actively collaborates with the Catalan Union of Hospitals and various ethics committees in Catalonia, promoting good practices in the healthcare sector.

Manel Ramos is the director of the Graduate Program in Applied Generative AI in Research Methodology and Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona. With a strong commitment to educational innovation, he is also a member of the Committee for New Teaching Tools and the Subcommittee on Generative AI at the faculty. In addition to his academic work, Manel is an internist in the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Service at the Clinic Institute of Medicine and Dermatology at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona.

Ricardo Corredor is a Clinical Scientist at Siemens Healthineers - Spain. He holds master's degrees in computer science from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, and in medical imaging from Université Claude Bernard Lyon, France. Daniel Andrés del Castillo is a prominent professional in the fields of technology and data analytics, with over a decade of experience across various industries, including retail, banking, energy, and utilities. Currently, he serves as Director of Data & AI at myCloudDoor, where he leads the creation and execution of advanced data analysis and artificial intelligence strategies to address complex business challenges. In addition to his role at the company, he is actively involved in teaching, having taught at various institutions and serving as Global Head Expert in the Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at Nuclio Digital School.
