A highly valued program among patients
Patient satisfaction surveys reflect excellent ratings for the volunteer program. In services like court accompaniment, 100% of participants would recommend it. Volunteers are particularly praised for their courtesy, welcoming approach and the sense of security they provide.
Training and continuous improvement
Throughout 2025, multiple training initiatives strengthened volunteers' skills, including hospital hygiene sessions, communication skills training and specialized formation for supporting blind patients through collaboration with ONCE. The program also participated in the "la Caixa" Foundation's training on accompanying patients with advanced diseases.
Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals
All program activities align with SDG 3 (Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing Clínic's vision of inclusive, patient-centered care.
Key objectives for 2026
Looking toward 2026, the program will advance along six priority lines:
- Strengthen internal communication.
- Increase volunteer visibility within the hospital.
- Enhance training to improve competencies.
- Implement a new volunteer management tool.
Through these initiatives, the Amics del Clínic Volunteer Program continues to solidify its essential role in improving the patient experience and building a more humane, approachable hospital committed to the community.
