The Internal Medicine Service is part of the Clinical Institute of Medicine and Dermatology of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. It is dedicated to the diagnosis of patients with nonspecific or systemic symptoms, or with rare diseases that are difficult to treat in other specialties, whether in an inpatient or outpatient setting. The main objective of the Service is to provide comprehensive care to those with chronic illnesses and who suffer from decompensation.
The Internal Medicine Service participates in the following HealthCare Units and Areas:
Central Sensitization Syndromes Unit (Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity)
The Service also works in coordination with the Transversal Home Hospitalization Program.
What are we dealing with?
These are the main health issues that are treated in the Internal Medicine Service.
The Service consists of 20 people who participate in the various sections and groupings of the Service. Many of them carry out their activity in the various healthcare organizations coordinated by the Service.
