The Neonatology Service has a continuous training plan for service professionals and its own teaching program for students, residents and external professionals.
It also participates in the specialized training of the nursing team in Neonatology, as well as in the training of paramedics, speech therapists, psychologists and physiotherapists, and in the organization of training placements for paediatricians, both locally and internationally.
Postgraduate
The Neonatology Department participates in the training of MIR specialists in Paediatrics and specific areas, with residents from the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona, the Parc de Salut Mar and the Hospital de Terrassa, among others, and three Master's Degrees in Neonatology per year in collaboration with the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona and the University of Barcelona.
Continuing education
The Department carries out numerous activities aimed at the continuing education of internal and external professionals, some of which are carried out in coordination with the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. Aula Clínic, the training and teaching body of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, supports the management of these training activities. These include the use of simulation for training in resource management in crisis situations, training in techniques and the use of equipment, and process testing.
