Research lines of Anxiety Disorders

Reading time: 1 min

Anxiety disorders are primarily diagnosed through patient interviews and the use of questionnaires. Current research efforts are centred on validating and adapting these questionnaires to better fit our language and population. Additionally, research is also being done on group psychological interventions involving both people with anxiety disorders and their close family members.

New technologies also have a significant role in mental health treatment, with studies exploring how smartphones and virtual reality can assist people with phobias to face their fears. This information may prove very useful in improving treatment methods.
