Autoimmune Hepatitis teaching and training at the Clínic

The Hospital Clínic Barcelona team is also deeply involved in teaching and training related to autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and other liver diseases. The group’s professionals serve as lecturers in the Clinical Research Master’s programme at the University of Barcelona; where they share their clinical and research expertise with postgraduate students and future specialists. 

In addition, the team regularly organises continuing education courses for other healthcare professionals, with the aim of improving knowledge and early detection of liver diseases. These courses cover various topics, including: 

• Liver elastography, a technique to assess liver stiffness without the need for a biopsy. 
• Primary care hepatology, aimed at family doctors who are often the first to detect signs of liver disease. 
• Hepatology training for medical residents, preparing future specialists for the comprehensive management of these conditions. 

Through these initiatives, the Hospital Clínic is strengthening its commitment to both clinical care and research, as well as the continuous education and dissemination of knowledge among healthcare professionals.
