Recovery after a Caesarean Section
Reading time: 1 min
After a caesarean operation, the hospital stay is about 3 days. Analgesics are administered to control pain, first intravenously and then orally, during the hospital stay.
The stitches should be removed about 7-10 days after the operation. If an intradermal suture has been used, in some cases the stitches will not need to be removed as the suture is reabsorbed over time.
