Teaching and Training - Institute of Nephrology and Urology
The Clinical Institute of Nephrology and Urology of the Hospital Clínic carries out an extensive teaching activity.
Undergraduate Teaching
It participates in the academic training of students of Medicine, Bioengineering, and Nursing. It participates in the academic training of students of Medicine, Bioengineering, and Nursing at the Campus Clínic (UB). In the shared subject (Nephrology/Urology) in the fifth year of the Medical Degree, Diseases of the Renal System and Male Reproductive System, there are, on the nephrology side: one full professor, one associate professor, seven assistant professors, and six clinical professors. On the urology side, there is one full professor, six assistant professors, and 12 clinical professors.
At the same time, it is responsible for training its residents (MIR) in the specialties of Nephrology and Urology. It hosts training placements for MIRs from other national and international hospitals.

Continuing education
In addition, it periodically organizes courses and preceptorships for continuing education, with special attention to professionals from other centres. In 2024, 12 training courses were held, all of which were approved by the CAAD (Teaching Directorate).
Likewise, it offers advanced courses, all of which are approved by the CTTD (Teaching Directorate).
