The Medical Directorate is responsible for guaranteeing the professional development of the Hospital's medical staff.

The Medical Directorate is responsible for guaranteeing the professional development of the Hospital's medical staff in care, teaching and research and innovation activities, and for ensuring, in coordination with the Nursing Directorate, that clinical practice reaches excellent levels and conforms to established ethical principles. In this sense, the Directorate must ensure the quality, efficiency, safety and harmony of the healthcare activities carried out at the Hospital.

The vocation of service to the institution, in general, and to colleagues, in particular, must constitute the backbone of the Medical Directorate's mission, with the aim of providing the best possible care to patients and society.

For the deployment of these functions, it has the departments of Quality and Clinical Safety, Teaching, and Research and Innovation, as well as various committees, commissions, programs and other assistance organizations that depend on the Medical Directorate.
