Organization - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service
The Department operates from two locations at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona: the Villarroel Site and the Plató Site. It also provides local care at the Hospital de Vic with weekly visits and surgeries.
It participates in the activities of:
The medical team is organized to cover all outpatient, surgical, hospitalization and emergency care activities in the specialty.

Works jointly in committees with other specialties to offer the highest quality treatments, such as:

- Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA)
Research at our Department is based on two main pillars:
- Collaboration with the biomedical industry.
- Research carried out by researchers with external funding.
These two aspects make the Department a leader in technological innovation in the field of maxillofacial surgery, developing a variety of projects, many of them in collaboration with industry, such as:
- Preoperative identification of the facial nerve in parotid tumours
- Reverse zygomatic implants
- Oral mucosa grafts on complex flaps
- Participation in the Debio clinical trial on head and neck cancer
